These terms apply when you use the Time Locker apps and services: the mobile app for users, web portals for senders, and the parcel machines and other devices those apps connect to. The terms for using the website itself are in a separate document (Croatian). Please read them carefully before you register.
1. General provisions and definitions
The service provider is:
- Time Locker or we: Time Locker d.o.o. za trgovinu i usluge.
- User or you: an individual or legal entity that has an account and uses the services.
- Consumer: a user who uses the services outside of their trade, business or profession.
- Device: a parcel machine (Parcel Machine), personal locker (Personal Locker) or other compartment connected to the platform.
- Device owner: the person or company that owns the device or keeps it on its premises. This may be someone other than Time Locker.
- Pickup Point: a location (for example a shop, café or petrol station) that receives and hands out parcels without a device.
- Courier: a person or company that delivers parcels.
- Platform: the Time Locker system that connects the apps, devices and partners.
Time Locker is a technology platform. Some services (for example device space or delivery) are provided or enabled by third parties, and we connect you to them. For each service in the app you can see who provides it.
2. Registration and user account
- You must be at least 16 years old to register. Younger persons may use the services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
- The details you give when registering must be accurate and up to date (name, email, phone, address). We send parcels and notifications to those details.
- You may not open an account for another person without their knowledge, or hold several accounts to get around restrictions.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all actions under your account. If you suspect misuse, contact us and change your password immediately.
- After several failed sign-in attempts, the account is locked temporarily to protect you.
- You can delete your account at any time, see Delete account.
3. Services
Depending on the device and location, the platform enables:
- Sending and receiving parcels through devices (privately between people), with drop-off and pickup by QR code.
- Courier delivery to a device, a Pickup Point or an address.
- Click & Collect: collecting webshop orders from a device or Pickup Point.
- Storage: renting a compartment by the day or month.
- Time Sharing: short-term compartment rental by the hour, day or month.
- TLC credits (business users only, e.g. device owners): prepaid credits for paying for services within the platform.
Availability depends on the location, device and partners and may differ from place to place. The description, price and terms of each service are shown in the app before you confirm.
4. Using devices and parcels
Unlocking
- Devices are unlocked with a QR code from the app or by scanning the code on the device. The code is personal and must not be shared, except with a recipient you have authorised.
- After dropping off or collecting, make sure the door is properly closed.
What may go in a parcel
A parcel must fit the size and weight of the compartment. It is forbidden to send or store:
- dangerous substances (explosive, flammable, toxic, radioactive, corrosive), weapons and ammunition,
- drugs, counterfeit goods and anything prohibited by law,
- live animals and perishable food (unless the service expressly allows it),
- cash, securities and items of exceptional value, unless agreed in writing in advance.
The sender is responsible for the contents of the parcel, proper packaging and correct recipient details.
Deadlines
- The deadlines shown in the app apply to dropping off and collecting parcels. Reminders are sent before they expire.
- If a deadline passes, the parcel may be cancelled and returned to the sender or redirected, and the compartment is released for other users. Fees set out in the price list may apply.
- Parcels that nobody collects after being returned and after a reasonable period are handled according to the law and the device owner's rules.
Damage and faults
Report a fault, a stuck door or damage to a device immediately through the app or at info@time-locker.com. Do not try to open a device by force.
5. Prices, payment and TLC credits
- You see the price of a service before you confirm. That price applies to your order or reservation. Prices are set by Time Locker and, for some services, by the device owner within limits set by the platform.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
- TLC credits are available to business users only (for example device owners). They are topped up and spent exclusively on services within the platform, but not on courier services. TLC credits are not money or a bank account, and Time Locker does not provide payment services or issue electronic money through them. A device owner's revenue does not go into the credits; it is calculated in a monthly statement and paid out under the contract.
- For time-based rental (Time Sharing), the actual time used is charged according to the price list shown at the time of reservation. On a daily basis, a started day is charged in full.
- If payment is not completed in time, the reservation is cancelled and the door released.
- Refunds, where you are entitled to them, are made the same way the payment was made.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
A consumer who concludes a distance contract generally has the right to withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. For services that are performed immediately (for example renting a compartment for a set period, or sending a parcel), if you ask for the service to begin before that period ends, you expressly agree to performance and accept that once the service has been fully performed you lose the right of withdrawal; if you withdraw after performance has started, you pay a proportionate part of the price for the part already performed. Send withdrawal requests to info@time-locker.com.
7. Rules of conduct
It is forbidden to:
- damage, force open or in any way bypass the protections of devices and apps,
- use the services for unlawful purposes or fraud, including impersonation,
- use the app automatically or in bulk (bots, scripts) without our approval,
- interfere with the platform or try to access other people's data or accounts,
- keep a door or compartment longer than agreed without paying.
8. Liability
- We are liable for damage we cause you intentionally, through gross negligence or by breaching our obligations, within the limits set by law. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
- We are not liable for the contents of parcels, for damage caused by incorrect details or prohibited contents entered by a user, or for the actions of a third party (for example a device owner, courier or webshop) beyond our reasonable control.
- We are not liable for temporary unavailability of a device or the app caused by maintenance, network failure or force majeure (power or internet outage, natural disasters, etc.). Devices are designed to work without a permanent internet connection, but some functions are not available without it.
- You leave a parcel at your own risk as regards its value and fragility. We recommend not sending anything of exceptional value without an agreement and insurance.
- If you cause damage to a device or to third parties, you are liable for it under the law.
9. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the services and delete your account at any time, subject to the limits described there (active parcels, devices you own, unused TLC credits for business users).
- We may suspend or close an account if you breach these terms, endanger the safety of devices or other users, or if the law requires it. Where possible we will warn you first and give you a chance to respond.
- Provisions that by their nature continue after termination remain in force (for example liability for damage already caused, and data retention under the privacy policy, in Croatian).
10. Support, complaints and disputes
Support and complaints: contact us in the app or at info@time-locker.com. We reply to a consumer's written complaint within 15 days. Please include the parcel or reservation number, the device and a description of the problem.
Complaints address: Time Locker d.o.o., IT park Osijek 9, 31000 Osijek, Croatia, info@time-locker.com.
Disputes: we try to settle everything amicably. A consumer may also start an out-of-court procedure before bodies for alternative resolution of consumer disputes. We are prepared to consider taking part in such a procedure in good faith.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms because of new services, changes in law or in our business. We will notify you of material changes in the app or by email at least 15 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using the services and delete your account before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the services after that date means you accept them. For contracts already concluded, the version in force at the time of conclusion applies.
12. Final provisions
- Governing law: the law of the Republic of Croatia. For consumers, the mandatory protection of the law of their country of habitual residence also remains.
- Jurisdiction: disputes with business users are heard by the competent court in Osijek. Consumers may go to court as provided by law.
- Severability: if a provision is void, the other provisions remain in force.
- Special agreements: couriers, device owners, Pickup Points and merchants are also bound by the contract we conclude with them. If there is a conflict, that contract prevails.
- Privacy: we process personal data according to the privacy policy (Croatian).
- Language: the terms are drafted in Croatian. Where a translation exists, the Croatian version prevails.
